Senior Java Web Developer

Summary:

You will work with other developers and remote technical resources to develop and support Web-based applications. Our production environment is Linux / Apache / Oracle, employing Java / JSP, PHP, and mod / perl for front end development.

Responsibilities:

• Develops and supports Web-based applications for both internal company use and client-facing Web sites.
• Develops code to realize information structure, user interface and visual design.
• Develops innovative and usable navigation systems.
• Flushes out page designs based on established look and feel guidelines provided by the graphics design and marketing teams.
• Works closely with members of the technology department and other business groups, to resolve development/production issues as they occur, refine and improve existing products, and define and clarify requirements for new products.

Requirements:

• 4 years experience in Java Web development (Servlets, JSPs)
• 2 years experience with Tomcat.
• 2 years application development with Strong SQL skills.
• Fluency with Ajax / JavaScript / CSS / HTML.
• Knowledge of Web Services (Soap / Xml).
• Familiarity with UNIX / Linux environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Exposure to Oracle and PL/SQL preferred.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
