BtoB Panel
Our definition of BtoB Panel:
A BtoB panel is a pre-recruited group of business professionals who have agreed to participate in business related market research studies on a forward-going basis in return for some sort of incentive or compensation. BtoB panels are utilized to understand use and attitudes around technology, purchasing habits and decisions, and overall business strategy. BtoB panelists are typically more difficult to source and reach than consumer panelists, and are usually profiled on range of attributes including title, job function, technology expenditure and many more.
B2B Panels often have more specific criterion than Consumer Panels. The focus of B2B research is finding out just how certain business professionals feel about a specific product or service targeted directly toward businesses. This type of panel may be targeted toward professionals like doctors, nurses, IT administrators, C-level executives, attorneys, financial service providers, business owners, etc. Due to the specificity of the survey, market research studies targeted toward businesses require specialized recruiting and different incentive types and values. Business-to-business panels are typically more heavily managed and more difficult to maintain than a consumer panel.
B2B Panels allow a business to query respondents in a given country or in multiple countries to find out how they might receive a product entering the market, what might make them choose that product, and in some cases, how that business professional feels the product could be better. These opinions help the client get a better understanding of how their market might view their product.
