Internet Panel
Our definition of Internet Panel:
Also known as an online panel, an internet panel is a pre-recruited group of individuals who have agreed to participate in online market research studies on a forward-going basis in return for some sort of incentive or compensation. Key demographic, product usage/ownership, and other attributes are generally maintained to offer timelier, efficient, and targeted market research opportunities. The use of internet panels also facilitates longitudinal research opportunities -enabling the same individual to participate in similar or related research initiatives over time, highlighting change.
Examples of common internet panels include:
- B2B panels
- Consumer panels
- Specialty panels (i.e. IT professionals, physicians, teens and tweens, etc.)
