Internet Research

Our definition of Internet Research:

Internet research, which can be both quantitative and qualitative in nature, has grown over the past few years as use of the internet has greatly increased for both business and personal purposes. Examples of internet research include:

  • Quantitative Internet Research: In quantitative internet research, pre recruited online panelists are sent and asked to respond to surveys over the Internet.
  • Qualitative Internet Research: In qualitative internet research, group forums are often used, as are Web cams. Both techniques are meant to facilitate a live, in-person discussion, similar to that of a focus group.
