Given the legitimate concerns about professional participation and anonymity online, Authentic Response has led the industry by developing Authentic Validation –a proprietary, multi–step validation process that ensures your sample set includes only respondents who have been verified and screened for authenticity.  And that leadership continues as these processes and techniques are further refined. With security checks from the online research panel registration process to post survey analysis, you can be assured you have the best available protection against duplication and fraudulence when working with Authentic Response.

Some highlights of the Authentic Validation process include:

• Double Opt-in: All online research panelists must complete the double opt-in process we developed and patented in 2000. Today it is the industry standard for high quality recruitment and sampling.
• Digital Fingerprinting: Our digital fingerprinting is a proprietary, industry leading technology that detects PC-specific identifying characteristics to determine if a participant is unique and prevents respondents from taking the same survey multiple times.
• RelevantView’s RelevantID: A free service to all Authentic Response clients, this system adds an additional layer of independent, third party validity and support to our suite of industry leading security processes.
• IP Duplication Security: We prevent multiple connections from the same IP Address within a specific timeframe –a process that helps prevent duplication and fraud.
• Known Fraudulent Proxy Detection Security: We also work with third party reputation services to detect potential panelists who originate from suspect proxy servers in the United States and abroad, to prevent professional participation and registrations.
• One Click URLs: All of our survey invitations include one-click URLs to prevent forwarding to other email accounts or posting on message boards, both common practices of professional panelists registered to less secure panels.

We recognize that there is no silver bullet solution that will resolve all data quality issues so we are dedicated to the continued development of security measures.  Importantly, we are also vigilant about immediately and permanently removing suspect panelists from our database.  Plus, we always perform a thorough evaluation of such cases to continue to stay one step ahead. Finally, we are committing to support all quality initiatives put forth by leading research organizations such as the MRA, the ARF and the ESOMAR.
