VP, Respondent Engagement
General Overview:
Responsible for managing the development and expansion of global sourcing & acquisition network; building and maximizing the long term value (LTV) and satisfaction of the global MyView B2B and B2C respondent community. As the VP, Respondent Engagement, you will take ownership for the complete lifecycle experience for MyView respondents with a goal of improving acquisition conversion, engagement and retention economics and operational performance. Responsibilities will include budget and program management for developing and improving product needs, communication, testing and optimization programs, engagement processes as well as business intelligence / analytic needs necessary to support both the short-term and long-term growth opportunities of Authentic Response. You will work closely with Sales, Finance, Technology and RFP-Operations to ensure that B2B, B2C, US and International respondent inventory is in place to support growth and strategic initiatives. You will also be responsible for leading and developing the team to implement these initiatives. This position is a member of the Executive Operating Team (EOT).
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- The Network; develop the global sourcing / acquisition network of partners ensuring proper mutual value propositions are in place to deliver the right mix of respondents at progressively more attractive eCPA and ROI rates. Effective business development efforts to expand the network (new channels / engagement methods) and account management efforts to build strong relationships with existing members.
- Test and optimize: develop and implement an ongoing test and learn program to improve acquisition conversion performance for both B2B and B2C respondents.
- Respondent LTV: Maximize the long term value (LTV) of the global MyView B2B and B2C Respondent Community. Establish and manage the Respondent Lifecycle economic and operational KPIs for both B2B and B2C global communities
- Respondent Motivation, Rewards and Content: Increase panelist retention tenure and participation via different engagement and content programs as well as reward and motivation strategies and programs (monetary and non-monetary). These programs should reflect a deep understanding of B2B vs. B2C respondent behavior to extend participation.
- Market Intelligence: Stay current with the market and be proactive in assessing and deploying tools and techniques to strengthen performance. Develop business building opportunities to increase respondent acquisition strategies e.g. Panelist Referral Program and engagement strategies (game mechanics)
- Cross Functional Cooperation – Coordination: Work closely with Sales, RFP, Operations to understand and match Respondent inventory to client demand by B2B, B2C, US and by major market
- Technology / BI: Work closely with the Technology team to ensure that KPIs and tools / capabilities are available to improve the understanding of respondents as well as improve the respondent experience
- Team Development: Lead, organize and develop the skills / capabilities and effectiveness of the RE team.
Qualifications:
Leadership & Management
- Excellent leadership skills - ability to set the direction of the department including goals, programs, milestones and resource needs
- Experience managing and developing a team - ability to hire, supervise, develop and train employees, including organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments and delivering desired outcomes to meet deadlines and achieve performance targets.
- Experience working with technology enabled processes, tools and BI
· A minimum of 10+ years of experience in a management role with a demonstrated progressive increase in scope of responsibility
Technical/Education
- 10 years+ of experience in online loyalty marketing positions that include lifecycle marketing including acquisition conversion and/or lead generation programs as well as retention programs
- Experience in user engagement, respondent or community marketing as well as user experience design that would include recruiting and managing online communities as well as online loyalty programs.
- Experience with testing and optimization programs and 3rd party optimization tools such as Omniture Test & Learn as well as a solid analytic capability.
- Experience with Social Media engagement & notification services as well as non- monetary motivation strategies (e.g. game mechanics) would be a plus
- Experience in the online segment of the Market Research industry preferred
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
